Reports – The Most Important Ones

What are the most important reports in The EDGE?

Answer:

In my opinion, the two most important reports are the Consolidated and the Recap Report.

• The Consolidated gives you a breakdown of all material, labor, general conditions, etc. but no taxes or markups. Items may occur multiple times in the job, but are combined together here. It allows you to check overall quantities, unit prices, and price extensions.
• The Recap Report is a summary of job pricing including taxes and markups. Use this one for your bid price. If you have multiple subdivisions, you may have more than one recap Report.
  There are many other useful reports, but these are a must for every estimate.
