How to fix Labor Production Rates Not Holding

This video covers how to fix Labor Production Rates Not Holding in v12.

Labor Source Screen

Today we’re going to cover one of the most common questions we get when it pertains to the labor screen. And the question is, why can it not apply a production rate to my labor line? In most cases, it’s a very simple answer. Looking at the production multiplier, you’ll notice that it has a zero.

Thinking back to simple math, if you multiply two times zero, the answer is zero. You’re not going to get anything because multiplying by zero gives you zero as a result. This is what we are doing on the labor screen.

Production Multiplier Column

In this example, if I typed in my production rate in any of those columns available; cost per estimated unit, EU per hour, EU per crew day, EU per man day, etc., the program is going to hold mathematical equations.

So in this case, I can type in, 8 lineal feet of framing a wall per hour. However, it didn’t hold. Simply go to the production multiplier column and type in a 1.

EU/HR

Once you do that, you’ll realize that the number that you had just typed in prior, is now displaying for you. Now, you’re quantifying some production on that labor line.
