How and when to backup your EDGE database

Depending on which version of The EDGE you are running you may have 1 or 2 databases, an estimating database and a jobs database.

V10.7.3 has only an estimating database
V10.7.5 has both an estimating and a jobs database
V10.7.6 & V10.7.7 also have both, but it is not common that you would need to backup your jobs database.

Your estimating database should be backed up whenever significant changes have been made, i.e., material pricing, labor productions or when any groups have been added or modified.

Your V10.7.5 jobs database should be backed up on a regular basis.

First determine which version of The EDGE you are running and whether you are running in Single-User or Network mode.
