Acoustic Count Condition Properties – All Tabs

This video covers the condition properties of an acoustic condition in v12.

GENERAL TAB

Acoustic Count

Condition Description – Feel free to change this to whatever you would like it to be named.

C Fields – These are user definable fields that we can use for numbers, formulas or words and descriptions.

Tile 1 & Tile 2

In this example, we’re only using tile 1, but tile 2 is available for you if you had a different tile that you needed to produce.

Count – The number of tiles you’re producing per count on the take off screen

Width & Length – The size of tile you’re working with

Type – The specific type of tile you’re working with.

If you need to change the type, click the three dotted button. As you go through fill out this information as needed.

After you have made your changes, you can click save to database and the next time you use this tile type, it will retain all of this information and automatically fill it in for you.

Cross Tees

Count – Total number you want for each cross tee you’re working with

Desc – To change the cross tee information, click the three dotted button and fill this information out as follows.

Choose the type, manufacturer, type in the length that you need for that cross tee itself and then you can fill out how many pieces come in a carton. If you don’t fill out how many pieces come in a carton, it will be priced by the individual piece and not by the carton.

Main Tees

Total Length – The total length of the main tee that you want to calculate when you click down

Desc – The type of main tee that you are using. Click your three dotted button and fill out the information as needed.

Wall Molding

Total Length – This is the total length per count, so make sure you fill that out correctly.

Desc – The type of molding you are using. Click your three dotted button and fill out the information as needed.

WIRE TAB

Acoustic Count

  • Count – The total number of wire drops. Each time you click down with this condition on the take off screen, it will give you the accurate number of wires you need.
  • Wire Length – The length of the wire you’re producing
  • Cut to – Fill in if you are cutting the wire down. If you’re not cutting it down and you want to have your pricing screen show six foot wire, feel free to go ahead and change your wire length here to six feet.
  • Gauge – Gauge of wire you’re using
  • Fast length – If you are using a fastener here, this is the fastener length
  • Fast type – The type of fastener you are using
  • Fast pcs/carton – How many of the fasteners you are using come in each box

INSULATION TAB

Batts Insulation

  • SF – Square foot per count, so when you click down one time on the takeoff screen, this is how much square footage you would like to add in for this specific item
  • Thickness – Thickness of the insulation
  • Width – Width of product that you’re working with
  • Type – Type of product. Click the three doted button and choose from the predefined list

Rigid Insulation

  • SF – Square foot per count, so when you click down one time on the takeoff screen, this is how much square footage you would like to add in for this specific item
  • Thickness – Thickness
  • Width & Length – Width and length of board
  • Type – Type of product. Click the three doted button and choose from the predefined list

MISC TAB

Miscellaneous is a catch-all. Here you would add in all of the additional material, labor, equipment, subcontractor, or other cost type items you may need.

To add in a miscellaneous item, click add in the bottom left corner and fill this information out

  • Quantity – You are setting up a ratio, so when you count one time in the take off screen, how much do you want to calculate of that information? The counting one time in the take off screen. How much info do you want per?
  • Estimated Unit – It is very important to note that the estimated unit controls all of the material or labor that you may be looking up or other items as well.
