v12 Local Jobs and Estimating Database

Steps that describe the operations needed to move jobs:

Current Job Location: Local

New Jobs Location: Local on new machine

Steps:

  1. Copy the jobs DB (MDF file) to new machine
  2. Zip up the users “Edge Workspace Folder”, this folder is typically located under the “My Documents” folder.
  3. Extract the zip file and its contents to the new computers “My Documents” folder.

Current Job Location: Local

New Jobs Location: Network

Steps:

  1. Backup the users local Jobs DB.
  2. Restore the DB to the Network SQL Server.
  3. Make sure that the Admin portal has an Endpoint created for both the network JOBS DB and for the Images.
  4. User should login to the application and change the jobs DB to the network endpoint.
  5. User checks-in the jobs.

Current Job Location: Local

New Jobs Location: Cloud

Steps:

  1. Backup the users local Jobs DB.
  2. Send the backup file to TheEdge and we restore it to cloud.
  3. TheEdge Ops needs to copy each table to the cloud Jobs DB
  4. User should login to the application and change the jobs DB to the cloud endpoint.
  5. User checks-in the jobs.
